What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring peptide that binds to copper and plays a role in tissue repair and skin remodelling. It is best known for its effects on collagen, elastin and other components that give skin its structure, making it particularly interesting for skin quality, signs of ageing and tissue regeneration.

Why GHK-Cu?

Skin Rejuvenation

Human studies have reported improvements in skin firmness, thickness, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Collagen Production

GHK-Cu stimulates fibroblasts involved in producing collagen and elastin, helping maintain the structural proteins responsible for stronger, firmer skin.

Tissue Repair

Research suggests GHK-Cu influences several parts of the repair process, including new tissue formation, extracellular matrix remodelling and wound healing.

Who is GHK-Cu Popular With?

GHK-Cu is particularly popular with people focused on skin quality, healthy ageing and tissue repair. Its appeal comes from targeting the underlying structure of the skin rather than simply its surface appearance, with research examining collagen production, firmness, elasticity, wrinkles and regeneration.

Research & Evidence

GHK-Cu has been studied for decades, with laboratory research providing strong evidence for its effects on collagen and tissue remodelling. Human research has also reported improvements in ageing skin, although the overall clinical evidence base remains relatively small and much of the published research relates to topical use.

Human Research — Skin Firmness & Wrinkles

Controlled studies reviewed in the scientific literature found that GHK-Cu improved measures of ageing skin, including firmness, elasticity and skin thickness, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. These findings are particularly relevant because they suggest its collagen and tissue-remodelling effects can translate into visible changes in human skin.

Human Cells — Increased Collagen Production

Laboratory research using human fibroblasts found that GHK-Cu stimulated collagen synthesis. Fibroblasts are the cells responsible for producing much of the collagen that gives skin and connective tissue their structure, helping explain why GHK-Cu is studied for skin remodelling and repair.

It makes my skin glow. No pun intended. I went out to dinner with my friends and they were like I want it. I just started my second vial so about 4 weeks for me. But I am convinced I am less grey and my Melasma spots are fading. 47F over here. Its great.

  2. Emma Roland

I decided to try ghk-cu too see if it would help with some minor scarring and general skin health. i was not expecting much since a lot of the cosmetic stuff gets way overhyped online, but the results have been kind of crazy. my face looks noticeably tighter and people keep asking if i changed my skincare routine or started getting more sleep. even some of the redness i used to have around my cheeks has completely faded.
I am 25 but my skin was looking pretty rough from stress and sun exposure, and this stuff practically reversed the damage. if u are on the fence about trying it for skin health then GHK-Cu is definitely worth a try

  3. Ryan Erendale

I started with 2mg but then later went up to 4mg everyday since more than a month now.
read some people are finding better results with 4. and it seemed to work for me too.
i do also take zinc supplement to balance out the copper. The results have been amazing for me.

Since taking GHK-Cu, long term i has seen massive improvements in my hair quality, baldspots and general hair health. Short term however, I noticed that hair wasn’t falling out when I was showering. My pillow also had alot of hair that had fallen out and I noticed that after a few weeks there was no hair on my pillow case. I did see benefits with skin as well. I used to have chicken skin on my tricep area up to my shoulder and now that is gone.

FAQ

GHK-Cu FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about GHK-Cu.

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring peptide made from three amino acids bound to copper. It is involved in tissue repair and remodelling and is best known for research into skin quality, collagen production, wound healing and other regenerative processes.

What is GHK-Cu mainly used for?

GHK-Cu is primarily popular for skin quality, healthy ageing and tissue repair. Research has examined its effects on collagen and elastin production, skin firmness and elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as the biological processes involved in repairing damaged tissue.

How does GHK-Cu work?

GHK-Cu acts as a signalling molecule involved in repair and regeneration. Research shows it can influence cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, the structural proteins that help keep skin strong and firm, while also affecting inflammation and other processes involved in rebuilding damaged tissue.

What can GHK-Cu do for the skin?

GHK-Cu is best known for its potential effects on ageing and damaged skin. Published research has linked copper peptides with increased collagen production and improvements in skin firmness, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, although the amount of high-quality clinical research specifically on GHK-Cu remains limited.

Is GHK-Cu used for hair growth?

Copper peptides are also researched for hair and scalp applications. Laboratory research with related copper tripeptides has found effects on human hair follicles and the cells involved in follicle growth, while small human studies using multi-ingredient formulations have reported improvements in hair growth. Evidence for GHK-Cu alone is less established.

Is GHK-Cu mainly for skin or recovery?

Skin and tissue remodelling are where GHK-Cu has the strongest research history. Its biological effects on collagen, inflammation and repair also make it interesting for broader recovery applications, but clinical evidence for musculoskeletal recovery is currently much weaker than the research surrounding skin and wound repair.
